Martin Bevz is recognised as a senior lighting professional who has worked on various prominent projects and with renowned firms, including Mirvac, LVX Global, and 32 Hundred Lighting. His most recent adventure was as an Illumination Engineer at LVX Global, a next-generation global advisory to the public and private sector, delivering end-to-end engineered technology solutions. 

During Vivid Sydney 2017, Martin was a part of the team at 32 Hundred Lighting that created Dreamscape. This connected interactive lighting sculpture was awarded the world's largest interactive lighting display by the Guinness World Records. 

Prior to making his transition to specialise in the built environment, Martin started his career in the entertainment, touring and theatre industry. He then moved to pursue a Master of Architectural Science at Sydney University. With diverse knowledge and experience, Martin places a significant focus on understanding the subconscious intersection between the human experience, light and space. Beyond his principal discipline as a technical generalist, Martin is also a light artist and a regular contributor to lighting festivals worldwide. 

Martin also enjoys sharing his expert knowledge and experiences in articles such as ‘Shining a Light on Wellness’, The Right Place - Lighting and ‘Kathryn and Martin Bevz’s Take on Interactive Light Art’.

As an artist and engineer, Martin has a creative yet technical mindset which helps establish his footprint in the lighting world as a dynamic creator of interaction design electronic and generative works. Martin is also Casambi 4C Certified.
